Rev. Del Hickson: Since December of 2005, Pastor Del has served as the pastor of the Federated Church of Willington. Prior to this, Pastor Del served as the pastor of the Atwater Baptist Church in Atwater, California. He also served for six years as the associate pastor of the First Baptist Church of Garden Grove, California.
Pastor Del was ordained on November 3, 1996 by the American Baptist Churches of the Pacific Southwest. Pastor Del received his Master of Divinity with an emphasis in missions from Biola University. He graduated with honors from Biola’s Talbot School of Theology in 1994.
It was while studying at Biola that Pastor Del met his wife, Rubi. They have been married for 14 years and have been blessed with two children. Deborah is nine and enjoys ballet and piano. Joshua is seven and enjoys karate and board games. Pastor Del’s hobbies include spending time with his family and taking their dog “Buddy” for a walk. Rubi enjoys playing with her children, sewing quilts and solving puzzles. Rubi works full-time as a Critical Care Registered Nurse at Hartford Hospital.

Boyd Wood: Boyd has been our organist and choir director since 2003, playing a 1911 Austin pipe organ at the Hall Memorial Church and a Hammond C3 at the Hill Church.
Prior to this position, Mr. Wood served as organist at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Stafford Springs, Connecticut for nine years, and as organist at the Attawaugan Methodist Church in Attawaugan Connecticut, also for nine years.
He studied pipe organ at Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford, attended the United States Army Element, Naval School of Music in Little Creek, Virginia and is a member of the Harford chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
Boyd also occasionally plays mandolin with The New McKinstry Minstrels, a local bluegrass and gospel band.

Stephanie Dakin: Stephanie joined the lay staff as Church Secretary in April of 2007. She grew up in Willington, and has attended the Federated Church of Willington with her family since she was a child. She is a former computer programmer and is the webmaster for the church website.
